Soon after the proclamation of Ukraine\'s independence, on December 27, 1991, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam recognized our state. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 23, 1992. In 1993 the Embassy of Vietnam in Ukraine was established. The Embassy of Ukraine in Vietnam was established in 1997.
